Roll Alignment System


Adjusting Particle Size:
 All adjustments are located conveniently on the front of the machine; allowing for easy and accurate adjustment of the particle size. This patented innovation allows precision roll alignment in seconds, while eliminating the need to remove covers and belt guards.

Dual spring protection allows any foreign material to pass through the rolls without damaging the machine. This assembly is a bolt on component, which can be easily replaced; which allows you to bring the machine back to new machine tolerances.



Each fine adjustment assembly contains machined parts that are closely tolerance to fit together exactly. These close tolerances hold the roll exactly where the operator places it and remains there for a consistent grind 24 hours a day, seven days a week.(Left) This dial displays the position of each roll in the machine. Each hatch moves the roll one thousandth of inch, giving the operator extremely accurate adjustment.

The photo to the left shows one side of a Patented RMS dual motor drive system that uses only “Super HC VX” belts. This superior drive system solves many of the all too common problems associated with conventional double sided belt drives::

  • Eliminates all belt slippage: Conventional double sided belt drives slip, stretch, generate excessive heat, and have a lower service factor than RMS VX drives. Therefore, maintenance issues and cost are much more frequent.
  • Eliminating all idlers RMS drives do not have any idler pulleys. Our three point drive does not need any idlers or tentioners.  This eliminates moving components and makes the drive system simpler.
  • Allows for shorter roll shafts: Double sided belts are not rated for as much horse power as a VX belt; thus more belts and longer shafts are required. With our patented drive we have decreased the number of belts at least by half.

This photo shows one side of a Patented RMS DUAL Motor (150HP) Drive System. This RMS 12 x 52" mill is driven by two 75 horsepower motors. As you can see, the machine's design is self-explanatory and very manageable

Feed Roll
Our Automated Feed roll optimizes the performance of your roller grinder or roller mill. The software included will monitor grinder load and control fee rate at peak efficiency. Inputs are preprogrammed to monitor ground product destination and automatically grind product to fill bins.
  • A large diameter solid cast iron feed roll is standard equipment on the RMS Industrial Series Roller-Grinder
  • The feed roll can be slowed to a complete stop, thus shutting off the flow of grain to the mill for end of the day shutdown

Remote Control Feed Roll System Includes:
Standard on all 12" diameter Industrial mills
  • Our exclusive micro-computer controlled overload shutdown system, which continually and automatically maintains full motor load regardless of the desired grind or the grain condition such as test weight or moisture.
  • In the event of an over amperage condition the system will continue to slow down the feed roll until the amperage is once again at the preset value (full motor load).
  • In a plug up situation in which the over amperage condition cannot be corrected, the system will completely stop the feed roll and sound an alarm. A pre-wired control panel is included.

Sample ports and Dust Problems

 All RMS machines are guaranteed to be dust tight

Roller Mill Dust free sample ports are standard on our equipment.

  • A felt lined spring loaded trap door on the inside of the mill automatically closes to insure a dust free seal.
  •  Convenient sampling helps you maintain the highest quality grind and consistent feed. Purchase one of test kits for an on the spot indication of your average particle size, or send a sample to our testing facility for a detailed analysis.
